Field Tile

These 4-inch hand-cut field tile are made with terra-cotta clay. Both smooth and textured tile can be purchased by the square foot. They are meant to coordinate with the 6" and 4.24" accent tile, for use in fireplaces, and backsplashes. As you can see, the texture is the same as I use for many of the backgrounds for the6" Accent tiles. These circles are concave, not convex; they are dimples. Note I will make all field tile with terra-cotta unless requested to use white earthenware.
